That Little Black Dress

This has to be one of the most comfortable outfits in my closet.  If it's not somewhat comfy, I'm not wearing it!  It's like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, if I'm uncomfortable I get super fidgety!  That's why it's very important that as I'm looking at the latest trend I'm considering if this outfit can keep up with a five year old or if it's suitable for a dance off with both my kiddos!

The picture doesn't quite capture it, but if you look closely you might see the boot cuffs I'm wearing.  Here's my secret...They were once wool socks and I cut the bottoms off to make my own boot cuffs!  There are so many stores to choose from, whether it's Target or Cabelas, just look for socks under $10.  Don't just shop in the women's section either!  Browse the men's section too, you never know what you might find!  Purchase a handful of socks, bring them home, cut just above the ankle, slip those babies on, and you've got new boot cuffs!!!  


Today's music choice is the English rock band Bastille.  Their latest album was just released this week "All This Bad Blood."  Songs from their first album, "Bad Blood," can be found on this sophomore album along with new music.  Their style is full of energy and conviction.  I watched them online performing at the iTunes Festival last summer and was very impressed with their set!
