Wonder Woman and Superman Celebrate 40 Years of Marriage

On July 7, 1973 my parents began their life together as husband and wife.  Today they celebrate 40 years of marriage. What a beautiful journey!  So many memories fill up their photo albums with four children and five grandchildren.

These two were truly meant for each other.  My mom always said my dad was her angel that swooped in and rescued her.  He became her rock, her foundation.  Their love for each other is inspiring and encouraging.  For all who know them see how strong their love is for each other and that love
continues to grow.

My parents are super heroes in my eyes.  They were there for each other, they were there for us.  With his super hero powers, my dad could build houses, fix anything, and still have time to fight off all the shadows of the night so I could feel safe.  My mom's super hero powers allowed her to be in so many places at one time but always there for me.  She could sew up a wardrobe for us, cook a meal for an army, and still have us in bed on time!  They are truly amazing people.

My parents' love continues to grow as their memory books are filled with their five grandchildren.  Their fridge is filled with photos, drawings, and letters from each grandchild.  The love they passed down to us through the years is now being sent back to them from these five little angels.   I love you Mom & Dad!  You both were my rock, my foundation, and the nails to hold me together.  Here's to many more beautiful years together!
